Great job on your questions! I agree with about the handwriting skills. Even now I feel like students are losing their ability to have good handwriting.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your questions. Yes, some times I wonder about the boundaries that need to be placed on where technology is too much.
ReplyDeleteThe students knowing more than the teacher, let me say that there is a point where students' thirst of learning is higher of what teachers can provide, that they just take off with self-teaching, we will see more of that I think because having the right tools all around them they will grow more and more hopefully.
There are boundaries for everything. Technology is one of them. We don't want to go too far that we are taking advantage of it, but in the long run, I believe that have technology in the classroom is great. We just have to set that boundary line so that we can be sure that we are also teaching our students and not using only technology. Classroom apps are great tools to use, but they should not be overused.
ReplyDeleteWe will definitely have to set boundaries in technology, because it can become dangerous and evil, so fast. I believe that if technology takes such a role in classrooms that we stop seeing students in person, that quickly it will return back to the classroom setting, because the human interaction will be noticeably positive for learning and understanding, more so than through a screen.
ReplyDeleteI too have the question on whether or not students will fall behind in low funded schools? How do we help to make cheap and easily available technology for all students? How do we keep all students at the same level by the time they graduate high school?
ReplyDeleteI love the questions you ask in Apple's articles! How we will know it is becoming dangerous echo with the boundary of technology use in our life!
